The Lament of Aeneas was commissioned by Brian Bensing and is included on his CD New Music for Flute and Piano available through Eroica Classical Recordings. A lament in the truest sense of the word, the piece is in an expressive contemporary style that explores several of the contrasting emotions associated with the grieving process. The piece exists in a setting for alto flute and piano as well; this version is available in our flute & piano section.
